Marcy Marchello is an Ann Arbor native, residing in Massachusetts, specializing in hand drawn maps as a celebration and study of natural places. A graphic artist since childhood, with a degree in Environmental Education, Marcy values hand-created art, nature observation, and exploring the outdoors. Helping others deepen their understanding of and appreciation for nature is a primary motivation for her art.

The Natural Ann Arbor Map evolved over 8 years of local visits, online research, and over 500 hours of studio time, while Marcy worked full-time as an Adaptive Recreation Program Manager for Massachusetts State Parks. The final product is a treasure map of Ann Arbor, a work of art, and an educational tool that delights and inspires with repeated viewings. Both Marcy and EA2 hope it will help to promote a vision of Ann Arbor's growth that will respect, protect, and integrate the Huron River, parks, and natural elements of a beloved landscape.
